Talking about glasses.

I unfortunately need my glasses, for sight. Does anyone know if there is a stand or table that I can place and recollect my glasses, after the swim?

There are a section in the Athlete Information Guide (Downloaded from the official 70.3 website) that tables will be provided where you can hand in your glasses and collect after the swim. Page 4 of the Athlete Information Guide.

My preparation for 70.3 took a knock yesterday. I did the Ep Tri champs and planned to take the day easy however i ended up coming off the bike. I am all grazed up but i am more worried about my bike, just waiting for the guys to call from bike shop to let me know if all is ok or not.thumbdown.gif

The ocean is wet, wavy and cool.

Now go taper something and stop worrying.

Temp this time of year is between 17 - 20 depending on the wind and swell at the time. easterly sweel followed by westerly would be ideal.

That's ridiculously warm. Bordering on unpleasant!

Check out windguru

Weather looks to be overcast early with some light rain which will clear. Sounds like it will be similar to last year, maybe a bit warmer and dryer.

Here's hoping

Cue "Oh no, I can't use a wetsuit" discussion. @Garfield, 26 will be like the gym, where you train all the time. So you should be used to it :-)

Hi Dave

I am actually fine, just trying to make the other 70.3 hubbers (like yourself) more nervous for this coming weekend!!!

I am immune against all conditions..... in fact, I actually hope it snows on Sunday morning

apparently pretty warm (assuming this site is accurate)

Statistics for 16 Jan (1981–2005) – mean: 23.7 °C, range: 22.4 °C to 25.2 °C (mean 75 °F, range: 72 °F to 77 °F)

edit - ok was a little slow there... Does seem a little on the high side - not often temp would go above about 24 deg...

The heater was broken on Saturday Gripen. Normally it steams in there.
