Lance Armstrong doped? No!!!

In this clip he is surrounded by dopers on Alpe d'Huez, but miraculously puts them all to bed. What a star!

C'mon Stevie - that argument has been (correctly!) made more times that people have watched a certain youngster get hit by a buck.

The truth is - we will never know the truth - the sooner people realise this and stop the ad nauseam "did he didn't he" crapola the better life will be. The Springboks lost by 2 points - it is now etched it history - no amount of Bryce Bashing will change that. Bafana bafana seem to have a chance though

And he is winning NOW. To lose to The Caveman by a couple of seconds, even if Caveman was Jet lagged, is a phenomenal achievement.

That's his whole team, nearly all of them subsequently busted, sprinting up Alpe d'Huez to shell the bunch so that Lance can then ride away from all of them. But did he dope, we'll never know for sure. Maybe there's no such thing as the Easter Bunny. Impossible to know for certain.

Agreed. But I know one thing, they must have quite an average speed going up that mountain... :o

Pantani still holds the record with his 1997 time 37m 35s (23.08 km/h). Lance came close to it - 25 seconds off - in 2001, the year he rope-a-doped Ullrich into thinking he had bonked. In the clip you posted Lance was having one of his weaker years if you could call it that and nearly lost the tour to Ullrich. His team was strong though - the attack shown is all the more notable considering that it comes near the end of a 219km mountain stage.
