Hunter vs Cav...?

:whistling:

Go Robbie!

He is sitting close to Cav's wheel....so it might well be...

Rabobank's been wanting to stake a claim for a while now.

Their train is in motion.

So is Sky and GreenEdge.

You mean like win his second stage!

If he doesn't crash, who can stop the Man from the Isle of Man...

Awesome sprinting powers again!

Hunter 4th...not too shabby

Brilliant, Hunter, brilliant!

I thought he was over the hill, so to speak. He's found some more hunger to race well.

Goss was the closest, I think, to challenge Cav for the Rainbow Stripes.

Again today, he came close.

But Cav is one helluva sprinting specialist.

Hunter 2nd in GC....5 secs down.

Superb!

It would've been sweet to see him in pink though before the trickier stages this weekend.

Awesome stuff. Robbie looking strong. Yesterday in the TTT he took on a lot of the workload.

Cav just sits there and no matter what happens he waits till its the right time. He doesnt have a very long sprint but he is one of the most powerful. Thats why when he goes no one will catch him. If its a long sprint and he goes too early guys like Andre Greipel can beat him.

Liquigas had a plan today when they pushed the pace on the rolling section, looks like they planned to shell a few riders and see what happens, later Astana was the only team to really respond and take up the pace which devastated the gruppo.

The biggest loser was Phinney I think, although he crashed, the gruppo was not gonna wait for him that's for sure.

Overall, I enjoyed the stage immensely, I thought it was gonna just be a procession to the 5km mark and then a sprint, but Liquigas and Astana had other ideas and the stage ended up been really exciting.

I have to say Astana really look very competent at this point.
