I will applaud yes. With the tour of England around the corner, he needs to sort it out, they will be targeting his offside and we need him to get those hundreds to beat the English at their own game !

if england have got him worked out, it's because they study him batting for so damn long in the pitch.

his stats, against england, in england?

9 matches, 1083 runs, 4 centuries, average of 72.70

i still can't believe what more the oke has to do to get respect in his own country. he was man of the match last week, get's a nick early on and now he's useless. remember his record is as an opener, much harder batting first up. we will miss him in the test side once he's gone. kallis is going to leave a massive hole once he's gone too.

So, Smith did not face the press in SA after the last World Cup.

Yeah, he has to do a whole lot less fish 'n chips and a whole lot more push ups and plank exercises.

And, he is no spiritual leader. He can be cocky and arrogant.

But, the man can bat.

Stats does not lie.

A friend of mine met him and had only good things to say he got most of the team to sign a minature cricket bat. I am very critical of smith but was nice to hear he went out of his way for his fans.

Nice.

Perhaps not. There is a massive difference between 20 20 and test cricket.

Levi in anycase only targets one area namely mid wicket. he will be found out. Make no mistake he has talent and all that, I just think he will need to find more areas to score in. He has also not scored too many runs in domestic 4 day cricket has he? Much better technical players out there for the Test match cricket. Dean Elgar's and Colin Ingram's.........

Warner started out as a t20 specialist.

But on the other hand, the money in t20 is much better, involvement in odi / test may not be the best career move nowerdays.

120 plus for two for the Proteas on Day 1.

Play reduced due to bad light.

Amla stars again and get a half century.

Smith caught behind off a ball he did not touch, it seems.

Yip - by all accounts, he was unlucky... And that's from the Kiwi commentators....

Not a single mark on hotspot, but there was a sound. I thought I could see daylight between bat and ball.

Even Amla's dismissal has a tinge of doubt about it

Yeah...

Martin got away there with it not being called a no-ball.

I thought Martin was the balding gangly one.

Yeah... He is.

Then it must be another bowler involved with Amla's dismissal.
