Pakistan in charge in the final and 2nd Test

1st innings

305/3

incorrect. was 305/2  but now moved onto 384/3

Younis Khan is really having fun in the UAE third consecutive century.

As for australia, well in May they were somehow #1 Test side in the world until we took it back by beating sri lanka. They don't look like the #2 side either here, and they have only put four recognised batsmen in the lineup with lots of bits and pieces guys so this could be a huge victory for pakis.

They needed to win both to take back No.1

Now they looking good to lose both.

Fantastic result.

Oh and we just need to take back the t20 top spot again.

yup...this is michael clarke after an excel spreadsheet rounding error gave the aussies the test mace on 1 May without bowling a ball. They lost it without bowling a ball, and even if they miraculously draw this test match they'll be 7 points down.

Michael Clarke - It is an incredible feeling. Surely one of the best days of my life and one of the best of my captaincy career. It has involved a lot of hard work and I am proud at the way the Australian cricket team has responded to every challenge. My team-mates deserve every credit for the way they have performed and as their leader I must say I am immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve as a unit. Most of my team-mates are in India playing the IPL and all I can say to them is have a drink for me and send me the bill. I owe this treat to all of you. I have e-mailed each one of them and have also texted many of them. I will make it a point to speak to them over the next couple of days and congratulate them on the achievement.

Pakistan's UAE flattening of Australia entered totally unprecedented dimensions on day four in Abu Dhabi, as Misbah's second century of the match occupied just 56 balls - the same tally required by Viv Richards against England in Antigua 28 years ago.

you won't believe who holds the record for fastest 50. which oddly he lost yesterday, but then regained it once misbah got to a hundred.

AFAIK it is due to gambling laws. I must agree that it was poor communication from the organizers and sponsors though. Perhaps the answer would have been something like "if you are under 18 years of age you will win a R100 000 bursary for tertiary education when you turn 18" or something of the sort.

its not gambling by any definition, and there is no legal impediment to minors being allowed to win prizes (many competitions are aimed at under 18's) provided it is not gambling, and prize doesn't require an age limit (eg anything to do with booze, unaccompanied travel etc).

It is a *** one but they have been stipulating this for weeks.

Everything i have watched or heard relating to this mentioned the over 18 rule.

Remember this is a large amount and not a small promotional win so the gambling commission will probably be involved for their share as well.

Gambling can be any form of prize where the intention is to win, it was broken down in a listing a while ago.

Sorry but I disagree.  For something to be gambling, you have to be risking something...  i.e. putting down money or something else to lose....

Edit, ok here is a wiki definition (wiki never lies, right...?  ;)

Gambling is the wagering of money or something of material value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money and/or material goods. Gambling thus requires three elements be present: consideration, chance and prize

Im not disagreeing with the definition of what gambling is, it is the interpretation of the gambling commission that is an issue.

My CFO is a big gambler and he explained it to me in a complex way. They do and they dont have a right. Same as they can tax winnings in a casino but the generally dont.

No need to get into an disagreement just saying that they propably shoving their hand into the pie.
