SA vs India, 3rd Test

Some statistieke:

It's been 16 Tests since the Proteas won a toss. What a tosser of a stat!

Right now, about 22 dot balls and, bam!, wicket time, 33/1 (oops, now 33/2)

Rabadaaa in his 50th test - that'll add some extra speed to the his deliveries

These toss stats are really scary, especially when the game goes 5 days and the wicket is a turner.

That toss statistic is mental.

So i think that wicket of DE would of hurt and probably put things more in the balance after day1.

We bowled well for the most parts of the innings and after India winning the toss, they won't be too happy with that score and will be hungry for more wickets. SA need to be patient (Kohli like) and runs will come.

This is going to be a cracker.

It looks like the kind of exciting test battle that, in more prosperous (and also less pandemicy) times, I’d travel for at the drop of a hat.  Am scheduling my rides around the coverage.  Go Proteas!

Yeah, I cycled past Newlands this morning drooling for a day in the sun on the embankment.

I too have the Cricket all day while working from home

Everything to play for today... really really hope we can pull through. After yesterdays "DRS incident", India are looking rattled with some totally offside comments.

Some composure required to see off the first few overs this morning as Bumrah and co will come out firing.

Lets go boys #ProteaFire

partially correct. Proteas have won 1 toss out of the last 16. still bonkers, 1 in 4096 probability.

I think it is worth an Ask Steven query on cricinfo

here is my contribution to the world of cricket noise

by mistake copied this one. just as good!

This one shows the trajectory of a ball in the next over. DRS looks correct.

to be dead honest the DRS tracking is only as good as the system, which includes the setup.

So all this shows is that it is repeatable.

Winning this Test and Series will give the current squad so much positive vibes, I really hope they can pull this off. We deserve a solid run again away from the drama that plagued our cricket in the recent past.

indeed. holding thumbs we can grind this one out without drama.

I just hope they can be gracious in victory. Virat is going to blow his cheeseshooter over this, but a 5-7 wicket victory is convincing,

Tremendous fightback, despite several inexperienced players, after some supporters had feared a 0-3 series loss against an excellent Indian team.

One hopes that vd Dussen (33.80) and Bavuma (33.79) and Markram (36.53) will dramatically improve their batting averages, just not good enough for top order batters.
