wonduhboy Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 (edited) So I love having different hand positions on my 26er that bar ends offer me.But when I look through the 29er picture thread, I get a complex cause no one has bar ends. So can I put bar ends on my new 29er without fear of being mocked?? Edited November 15, 2011 by wonduhboy

Newboy Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I have bar ends on my 29 er and can not give a t...s what anybody else say or think about it.
Thumper Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I've got barends on my SS 29r.Don't know if I am being mocked ... can't hear the fat bastards from the top of the hill.
StefandV Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Just removed the bar ends from my 29er. Repeatedly got my bar ends caught in vegetation on single tracks - big fall on last day of W2W Adventure. So, despite aso liking the different hand positions, no bar ends from now on!

AndreZA Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 It's like watching Twilight movies. It's okay if nobody sees you.

Nimby Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I don't understand how anyone manages marathons / stage races without bar-ends? Obviously I have them on my 29er, but then again my other style faux pas make the bar-ends look like small change...
KnobbyMech Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Just removed the bar ends from my 29er. Repeatedly got my bar ends caught in vegetation on single tracks - big fall on last day of W2W Adventure. So, despite aso liking the different hand positions, no bar ends from now on! I also had bar ends on my riser bar on the 29er. Love them, but removed them for the same reason as my 29er bar is much wider than what was on my 26er. Getting used to not having them now, but it took some time. I also do not care what any "style" man thinks. These are probably the same people that wore hipster type bellbottoms with shirts with frills in the seventies and believe that pink is the new black. MTB is not a style thing, it is a function thing. Who cares, seriously?!
Stumbles Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 if it is good enough for Ned, you should have fun. http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/pro-bike-ned-overends-specialized-rockhopper-sl-singlespeed-27076/
koukie Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I have bar ends on my 29 er and can not give a t...s what anybody else say or think about it. I dont have a 29er but this would be my comment aswell.
CAAD4 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Flame them all!! Ned is such a legend can do whatever he wants, especially on a fixie. Even Ned knows they don't go on riser bars...
manbearpig Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I don't BUT I do have a BAR PIG on my 26er.... I'd post a pic but I dunno how...
