D-Mike Posted November 15, 2011 Share I did my first two Argus's on a MTB, with slicks and it really makes a difference. There are a few guys who would think you a pansy for doing this. I figure, I do it for fun and why not?
dirtcrazy Posted November 15, 2011 Share did my first on mtb, with mtb tyres,, nah,, rather do it on roadbike!! much more fun and speed on the flats!!
janneman72 Posted November 15, 2011 Share Slicks vs no slicks normally depends on your fitness and time....Did it with both and with slicks are actually no challenge but much easier, without slicks I think you can get categorised in the MTB category and is obviously a bit harder. Tiny K Posted November 15, 2011 Share Make that 70%..... I have only done 2 Argus' (or is that Argii?), anyway, both times have been on a road bike, once a sub 3. Maybe I should try the MTB thing for a sub 3. Anyone got a 29'er to loan me for the Argus?
Chubba Posted November 15, 2011 Share 69% - only on a road bike. Why stuff up a MTB on the road?
kosmonooit Posted November 15, 2011 Share I did my first 9 on mtb, sometimes to lazy to put slicks on, but then again I have never done a sub-
Slipstream Sean Posted November 15, 2011 Share If you have no other plans for the day...then do it on a mountain bike...you will be on the road for longer, which means better value for money...Don't make any early dinner plans for that evening though ;-)
