Personally, I think that the couch thing adds a bit of personality to this forum.....something a little unique to the Hub.....I say that it has become a tradition and like all traditions it should stay.

OK, admin - add the 'Mandatory Couch Picture' to the list of classified guidlines.Confused

I think it kinda serves a purpose.

Let me give you an example from another forum I frequent. It is a car forum and when you introduce yourself and figure out how to post a pic, you usually post a pic of your pride and joy. Now you get pranksters who pretend to own certain machinery because it is so easy to find generic pics of anything on the net. So, on this forum you are requested to post a pic of an orange on your car for authentication purposes.

Granted, this doesn't really apply to the Classifieds as you would have to be an idiot to try and sell something you don't possess but it seems to be an extension of the "rule".

Just my US$2 worth...

Erm....as for it being unique to the Hub, I'm going to have to burst some bubbles.

It is also common on MTBR to do the same thing. They also frequently use the same old jokes we do here wrt to posting photos of new bikes/couches etc.

Couldn't tell you where it started though....? Ermm

Back to the Girl in the picture - from my vantage point she looks like a fine specimen. I think the green swimsuit contrasts well against her tanned body. Green is the new black/white/brown.

All those hours on the Style channel are finally starting to pay off!

I vote for the couch to stay, and would like to have pets feature in the pics as well as has been the habit of some hubbers.
