Just spoke to a league rider, Elite, and he said that Darren Lill took top spot on Sunday.

He did not wear his pigeon tracking tag though.

H Fouche is, of course, listed as 1st.

The racetec results have been updated, although Darren's time was 2.06 not the 2.10 they have him down for.

I wonder where Christoff Sauser finished.

Good pics on FB from Ronelle.

Cool.

Thanx, Lucky Luke.

What an engine that Darryl has...

2.06?! holy macaroni, he must have crushed those last few hills. mind you at 80km (or 85km depending on where you get your info) he was probably just warming up - i trust these guys are doing longer distances in training for when they hit europe.

and hey, you're only promoting ronelle's pics because there's a nice shot of you crossing the line! shameless. ronelle's pics are always good though - worth a punt!

He broke away with Herman who dropped him off at the bottom of the Navy climb to finish the job alone. The guy is so small and so powerful both uphill and on the flats - this kind of move suits him perfectly. Notice the empty space behind.

Yeah, remember the Tour de Boland where he broke away on the last stage - crit style ride with 8 laps (I think) around Paarl. He climbed those hills like it was just a bump in the road! :w00t:

Of course... New team, new bike.
