'Dale Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 It was at this race in 2010 that I summoned up the courage to break away from the bunch - for the 1st time. Two other riders followed and we stayed away over Boyes Drive. It was helluva exhillerating.

(put my saddle up yesterday, probably too much)Luckily it was just before the short route turn so I just solo-ed with the wind behind me to the finish. So if you see me on top of the results of the long ride in 1h10mins thats what happened

Kristiaan Kriek (Maties) won it and JP Jacobs (Anderson Transport, Kriek on the hub) was 2nd. I don't think Shan was anywhere - I heard he made a wrong turn somewhere.
