Rivers are at normal levels and the roads are still intact.Might be a bit muddy if it rains this week but the weather report looks good!

kosmonooit Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Most of the marathon route is hard pack dirt roads so even after the rain shouldn't be an issue. At least I hope not, I have only done the event once, last year , beautiful day after lots of rain the week before.

pezulu Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 What can we expect for the average time out there? The average times should be about the same as the rest of South Africa (GMT +2) even though Barberton is a small dorpie in the platteland.Other than that, depends on what distance you are riding, and what your fitness levels are like.
PaulTCR Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Advendurance website says ascent for the 75k is 2350m. My records for the last two times I did it show 1742 and 1760. Has the route changed or have I got a dodgy GPS?
