Could be the beers.

Maybe but I always keep a couple spare to put round the bottles - clever eh?

AND I've never fallen over carrying a pineapple, maybe there's a business, right there.

Hmm, to me the article was more about "the Livestrong cancer shield" than anything else.

No one doubts Mr Armstrong was a great athlete, chemically enhanced or not, he remains a superior athlete, however the rising tide of anti lance supporters is more about his alleged dealing's with dubious doctors and his alledged ethical behavior in a number of areas, as well, of course, his association with Livestrong.

Its well known that Livestrong has done almost no notable academic research and development on the eradication of cancer, their aim is more of an "in support" role of cancer patients than the medical treatment of the disease, both have their place but LA has made a career of blurring these lines of distinction, unfortunately, mostly to suit his own personal ambitions.

As is commonly held, people feel sorry for someones elses misfortune for a while, but then its back to business, I think people have just stopped feeling sorry for LA and he has almost fallen off their radar, there's other concerns now, the global economy, Greenhouse gas, nuclear war......and LA is feeling a little left out.

Nicely said!

I stand corrected but his thing was always about awareness and as such is very hard to quantify. No one will ever know the impact that he actually made through his and other initiatives. I think that should not be over looked - he has certainly done a lot more than us keyboard cowboys.

In our society we love to build them up to break them down. Much like our own sports stars seem to always be flavour of the week.

If Lance is innocent of doping, why is he not working with the investigators to prove his innocence

Like in any criminal matter the burdon of proof needs to be supplied by the accuser. You have to be proven guilty not prove your innocence based on speculation, rumour and jealousy.

There is doubt about his performance boosting.

It's not proven.

Now, the Livestrong Foundation is also moving under a cloud of doubt.

Hmmm..

It was mainstream practice to dope.

Surely, he participated.

Ironically, with all or most riders doping, Lance still kicked azzzz...

Cmon, LA - give it up.

Sure, I understand that, but why all the secrecy around his blood samples and all the money wasted on court cases. If it was my blood samples and I did not dope, then I would not hesitate to have them tested again, but on the other hand, if I did dope........

So the hundreds of tests used over the last 15yrs arent enough? I would not give samples just because there is a witch hunt on. Like I said its up to them to prove his guilt not up to him to prove his innocence.

Do you have access to info the rest of us dont. Happy to review it and remain impartial. Just wished it worked both ways....

No I do not have access to privileged information, but I know how to use Google and I have no emotional bond to the LA hero myth.

A huge number of people have come forward with eye-witness testimony of doping or admissions of doping or discovering doping products in LA's house etc. A great many of the witnesses are not 'fraudulent cheats', some are not cyclists at all, and most have nothing to gain from testifying against LA, apart from the usual wall of flack from his legal and PR army.

Are you familiar with the likes of Michael Ashenden, Betsy Andreu, loyal teammate George Hincapie (also never tested positive) etc etc etc?

Don't use the tests conducted as proof, many riders who have been busted have admitted that they passed dope tests with/without complicity of the UCI.

For the guys who believe in his innocence - go read "Bad Blood" by Jeremy Whittle. It is a good book and an eye opener.

For the guys who think Lance is guilty - stop destroying the believers dreams.

I was heart broken for almost 2 years once I read the right books and made obvious conclusions that they ALL dope. It took me a long time to get over that and cycling or the TDF has lost a lot of credibility -- it is more of a soap opera now days. So stop destroying the poor innocnet hubber's hero's that they believe in!

In the end the truth shall come out. Once Hincapie testifies it will all be over.........

Don't they first manufacture the dope, there after they need to develope tests to "find" the dope in your bloodstream? So you pass the test until the testers catch up to the dopers and then a new dope is invented again
