All I am saying is that the STARS (and for your benefit), start a little later and rather catch bunches rather than be caught. This will prevent the 'Outriders Train' scenario happening and the true winners will surface i.e. the ones who work and pull away.

I agree there, main point they mix in with the other groups which is not allowed as the rules say....but they dont listen.

Isn't their dedicated Marchal suppose to allso enforce this?

Yeah - we had a few guys in the league that hooked on to our A-C bunch and started reeling in other league riders that had dropped them earlier. Not a cool thing to happen.

To me it boils down to their integrity and conscience. Unfortunately, some see it as a 'minor fault' and think nothing of it. In the real world it skews their ability in the seeding because their time is faster than what it would have been.

They only hang with the front of the bunch, not the entire field that gets split up. We had a bike pop in to assist with the white line down the other side of Botmas and then left us again once we were at the bottom. Maybe after last week, they are now focusing on descents more than the rest of the race (if they do not have sufficient marshals).

... so I'm chortling along quietly on my own when this TJOP comes past in the 2nd 50km bunch. They're all very important. see. He brushes my handlebars with his, then says, "Won't you please move over to the left?" Now, this is difficult, considering I'm about 30cm from the uneven curb of the road, which I felt necessary to point out to him: "Shall I ride on the gravel for you? (missing out the "oh my leige lord, oh honoured and mighty one.") Then he cuts in again; if I hadn't been ready to feather the brakes (no doubt to the consternation of everyone behind me) he'd have spread me across the gravel. Oooooh, to give him a snot-klap ....

Tiny K, most excellent to meet you! 'Dale, lekker seeing you again!

We had a Marshall with us the whole time, and he was cranky!!

They usually give us a few cm's on the white line to make a break but nothing yesterday.

One of the riders went on the attack, was an awesome break and would've been tough to pull him back and then the marshall comes around and tells him he has a warning, even though the road was clear.

Now i'm not saying we should be allowed to cross the white line, and I think it's good now that they're enforcing it hecticly, especially after last week.

i was in club100 kit, trying to do some damage on the front for the first 40km without any luck!

pity though, felt strong, but that climb was just enough to put me back far enough that i didn't see the break again. bummer

Ok cool and I remember you from the Cape Cobra race and you finished just ahead of me. Hopefully we will have a better race this coming weekend.

I have secret connections with the Secret Society Of Cyclists.

I'll organise you an esteemed A seeding number as a Valentine's Day prezzie if you can spot 'Fanie-Fiets'...

The shaxxiest hoops in the D-E-F bunch on Sunday...

My hoops make that familiar carbon sound, especially as high wattage move them forward.

These Lightweights sounds, at times, like the whooshing of helicopter blades. Yummy!
