Heya,

So what multivitamin do you use, and what do you recommend?

I hate buying vitamins because I never feel the effects of them, perhaps because Im buying rubbish.

It depends what you want them for...

Alot of the multivits ARE rubbish.

Unless you have a deficiency of a particular vitamin or mineral, rather eat citrusy fruits and dark green veggies :)

Food State multivitamins are supposed to be one of the better brands out there. I use the Mens multivitamin and it doesn't turn your pee yellow like other multivitamins i've used in the past. (if thats a good yard stick to measure by)

Yellow pee indicates your getting to many vitamins. Can be a good thing as you at least know the tablets contain vitamins.

my pee turns yellow when I drink coffee, does that mean coffee has vitamins in it ?

Yellow could indicate dehydration? Bright yellow (almost lumo yellow) is from too many vitamins. I think.

Look no further than Double X expensive but well worth it - made by Nutrilite

I also use Double X and it is the first time that I could feel that vitamins giving me a boost. Also agree with Rydogg, veggies and fruit supply lots of our needed minerals

So where do I get these Double X from, I dont see anything on the web or at Dischem?

I get mine from my GP. Your local chemist should be able to order them for you

I used to spend big loot on Veridian multivitamins and the Solgar vitamin C. Now I just eat futurelife for breakfast. 27 bucks a box you can't go wrong. You'll still need to bump up your vitamin c intake. Eat some fruit. Better for you than swallowing a pill.

Hi Richard - they are a product available from Amway, I buy mine via one the of Network 21 channel partners. Unfortunately it is not a product which you can just get off the shelf but once you belong to the channel they get delivered to you.

The best product I have encountered is Solgar. It is expensive and not sold at Dischem. You only need to take two pills a week. Have not been sick (cold & flu) in two years since I used them in winter. Before that old two or three colds/flu per winter.

Not exactly a multivitamin however I've been using USN Muscle Fuel STS for the past 4 months instead of multivitamins as I found I needed to increase my supplementation to support my increased riding activity . I must say it has helped me to recover quicker after each ride; helped me stay fresh and fatigue free; made me a stronger rider - all with no adverse weight gain.....
