I still believe that the Stormers are too one-dimensional and conservative. If the opposition have your game plan worked out (although different teams and competition but the way the Sharks did versus WP in the Currie Cup final), it takes a bit of flair, creativity and variation to beat the best. But it was close.

They have a defensive approach

Percentage rugby

No flair required

I like a team that can attack reasonably well even if their game is based on defence.

ai Stormers so close .... silly penalty cost them although I did think the pass from the line out that led to the try looked slightly forward and there was also a suspicion of a high talker on Carr when he nearly scored in the final minutes. Stormers stopped them scoring for nearly 70mins ... that was brave!

Aussis conference is a lottery! Force gave Rebels a big smack!!!!

Sharks were impressive!! Steyn at 10 was a revelation. Jantjies was off his best for the Lions. And Reinach moving up the ranks in my estimation as a contender for the 9 Bok jersey.

Bulls had a good outing too.

the Stormers have had the same game plane for the past x number of years and it has not won them a title. AC has reached his ceiling as a coach.

1st try Stormers vs Chiefs

The best handling I've seen from the Chiefs - scoring off a grubber that eventually gets back footed into the player's hands. That was cool.

i am worried after this morning that the stormers may actually finish bottom of the SA log.

I didn't watch the game so maybe I missed some good performances but at the end of the day it doesn't matter how well you played, if the opposition play better then you still lose

they are described as "sloppy" by rugby365 after this morning's performance

a few good moments, nothing more

two late tries - one by individual brilliance

the defending champs were in control
