their form should decide that

in my books a fit and in-form vermeulen is impossible to look past

And if both he and WW is fit and in form? What then? Keen on hearing your opinion on whether you would play them both or not?

As would I tbh. Both DV and WW are great players but I'd play DV as my 7 & WW as my 8, to be used interchangeably as the situation requires.

Pieter-Steph is bloody brilliant. Him and Etsebeth make a potent lock combo!

Too many players in that backline that can't tackle.

My prediction: Aussies by 15.

PS: Definite yellow for Oupa. He will be under the microscope.

Think you're over estimating the quality of the Aussies.

My prediction: Aussies by 5

I'll meet you guys halfway and say Aussies by 8.

About the experimental rules under review in the NZ domestic competition.:

The mid-point is a line between the sidelines where two opposition players are in contact with each other, i.e. Tackler and the tackled player.

A player no longer needs to enter "thru the gate", but from any angle as long as it's behind that mid point line.

Then, a player entering the ruck has to stay on his feet, but can counter ruck without falling to the ground, or resting his hands on the ground. The players have to keep his weight on their feet.

It means the ruck is contested higher off the ground. Being caught in the ruck and "Not rolling away" should disappear as the players can't fall to the ground.

I hope what I have explained makes sense.

The midpoint should then be running through the tacklers' shoulders if I am understanding what you posted correctly.

The rest, I think, is actually fairly straight forward. Although I would assume that a player that then supports his weight on his hands would be conceding a penalty. Or didn't they say?

This week the NZ panel were critical of Barrett's success rate of his kicks.

They said while they were scoring plenty points it doesn't matter, until scores are close and it becomes a game winning kick.

So far, today, Barrett will be tested. At least with the AB's leading 17-16

This Argie team is flipping good actually. Kiwis don't have all thir own way. Perhaps the Bokke are not as bad as we think. Or as bad I I think. Can't speak for everyone.

Jeff Wilson asked who the AB's fear the most... the Pumas on current form, or a wounded Springbok.

A wounded springbok was their reply.
