HI All - just seen these have been released - the seem extremely light(Pair 1419gr) and I cant seem to find any meaningfull reviews. Has anyone bought these/ridden these?

Im in the market for a mtb wheelset - do mostly XCM, berg&bush sani2c type events and the mtn/nissan races - would this be a good buy?

Eldron is not convinced - the old ones were softer than month old camenbert after an hour in the sun - the word "race" and another 100g lopped off the weight scares the bejeebers out of me.

I have a pair and love them but have to take the tyre off and smack the shoulders of the rim straight at least every 3 months. Iron (herepresent on thehub) flattended his rim's shoulder plat against the rim bed at groenies - on a duallie!

Best bang for buck lightweight wheelset out there but as ye old chestnut goes - cheap, light, strong - pick two. In this case AClassic chose cheap and light! The hubs are light and bulletproof - the rims not so much.

That said I buy them again if given the choice - like I said - best bang for buck lightweight 29er wheelset out there...

yeah I agree Eldron, as for the link....not exactly the unbiased review I was looking for and in fact the only real "review" I found before posting

My wife weighs 56kg and rides very gentle :), but she has 2 nice dents on the rear wheel. The hubs showed some play after less than 1,000 km. They are really soft. But, we fix them up and then we go again. Good value for money (for a light rider), at least.

Had mine for a year and a half . Done Epic and Sani on them plus ride twice every weekend and they are still true like new . Think it depends how soft or hard you run your tyre pressure ??
