Si-Sly.

Just keep on going back to Kingskloof. Once you have mastered (become comfortable) with riding the tracks at kingskloof, you will be overprepared.

to prepare for day 2 of sani (this year i will be better prepared) i am including kings kloof (2 laps) in my distance training.

in other words, i will do a 90 km ride, and included in that 90 km are two laps of the kloof.

ya, that speed bump after nando's had me with no sense of humour in no time.

although day two is made out to be very difficult, it is all rideble. (but if you ar enot fit enough, you will have to get off and push on some of those climbs.)

practice climbing lots and you will be fine.

The trail is the new event they added this year due to the huge demand. The routes are exactly the same but the three events run a day apart on the dates above. The race is for people who want to ...uhm race. The adventure used to be for people wanting to take it a bit easier and the trail is just an extention of that ... lots of people wanting to take it easier :)

We managed to get into the trail for this year and I cannot wait but looking at the youtube clips there is some hard work to do as well, so I guess we wll need to start trianing.

What is the cost to enter?

Is there a prize if you wheelie all the way over the waterbridges? Or is that another donut prize?

Because I have been practicing my wheelies. My legs and racing skills won't get me on TV, so I'm hoping that my one wheel antics will get my my 5seconds of fame. Albeit through safe touchdown or a splashdown.

Will strap a Baywatch style life bouy onto my partners camelbak so that he can save my bikes life in the event of a miscalculation on my part.

I did the Race last year for the first time and must admit it was NOT as difficult as expected. You also will not fall off the edge of the world  . Day 2 is tough but not too bad.

My average weekly traing was 5 hours (twice up to nine hours).

Relax, you'll enjoy it.

Well actually if you put any men (or women) on bicycles and bring them together they will race. You just need to see the interest in the time sheets at the end of the days riding in the adventure (and now trail) to see this 'non-racing' in action.

The adventure and Trail are unofficial races, the Race just has the pro's fighting for number 1 spot.

All are great fun, great food and atmosphere, same great route, and good people from all over the country.
