rouxtjie Posted May 9, 2012 Share Well thats is exactly what has just happened to me. I no longer have a partner! My dad can't afford to quit, not much chance of getting a new job as a white male over 60. No temper tantrum, I'm just looking like a complete idiot crying at work!ag no man...that sucks big time You might get a parter before the sani but I think you wouldhave to give your dad's ticket awaybe content with riding with a total strangerThat being said...better than missing it completely
Stevief Posted May 9, 2012 Share Is there no way he can try and reason with his employer?? Maybe put in overtime or take a paycut the following week??

I hope you manage to figure something out. And crying at work is a perfectly reasonable reaction. Sucks for him as well! I may be joining you in that boat soon but still holding thumbs I won't be. No temper tantrum, I'm just looking like a complete idiot crying at work!If this happened to me, I'd ride solo. Sani folk (who are not doing the Race opton ) are nice folk, so you'd have company. My brother rode two days solo a year or two ago when I broke my collarbone on day one. Not as cool as having your dad there, but still pretty cool. And you can rev him up for next year with all your Sani tales... (And speak to Judy and see if she can sort you out!) I'd offer our company, but we'll be a day after you. Ratty Posted May 9, 2012 Share Hey Ratty, did you come right? A couple of people interested, however all of them seem to be strong riders (sub 3:30 Argus's and the likes). I'm worried they will get annoyed. You have to ride together as they have checkpoints.

Ratty Posted May 9, 2012 Share They still need to pay for their transport so its not completely free.
