I just got some feedback from Cliff, the frames are here and just clearing customs and should be done by friday and sent to us next week.

Come on PYGA..............

Lets hope so, I am going on holiday at the end of next week and I will be super annoyed if I don't get the frame before the, lets hope they are worth the wait.

Only certain (No) Morewoods are built in Pmb if I remember correctly. Pat uses Taiwan doesn't he? That's where the name PYGA comes from. It's the nickname the Chinese guys call him ...

I was also under the impression that the Pyga frames were to be hand welded / made in PMB, clearly this is not the case. Maybe it was a time saving thing ? These are definitely hand made in the East just like 99% of all other bikes

I am dead keen on a Pyga but really want some first hand reviews.... come on members! I want some pics and some feedback!

Just built a Yeti BigTop, done 25km on it only. Have ordered the Pyga HT, plan to build it up same spec and compare the two.... Will keep my favourite one, other one will be converted to SS or Sold.

I have my reservations, somewhat biased towards Yeti. First thing I'm doing is taking actual frame weight, always sceptical about press claims.

The only reason I am buying the Pyga is because it looked super awesome, saw it at the first Thaba Toughee race.

@ The V: 1700g for an alloy frame is light but not ridiculous. I believe that Morewood claim a sub 1500g weight for the 29er Kwela frame. Medium sizes (18 inch).

Post actual frame weight and impressions when you receive it please.

I was hoping that they would be proudly PMB but it seems not....

So any news ? Did the frames clear customs today ?

They've been good with feedback, sent out production update pics etc, haven't heard anything for around 10 days or so though.

It is the 1st run so I can understand teething issues, it does still however get quite frustrating.

I have just left Pats house. The frames all cleared customs late thursday and arrived in Pietermaritzburg on Friday. Pat was busy assembling the first few this afternoon.

They look awesome in the flesh. Super excited now!
