In addition to the traditional cross-country, Houffalize will play host to the first ever World Cup Eliminator race on Friday. Racing in heats of four, the field of competitors is whittled down to four final contenders in each of the men's and women's fields, for the chance to don the first leader's jersey for this discipline. The 530 metre course features a hard, sharp climb to separate out the riders.
