I did not tell the whole story. My wife called me to tell me there was a cyclist in an orange top checking out my car, when I went outside, he cycled away. I did not suspect he had crashed into the car and I only noticed the damage a few minutes later when I left for gym. I passed a guy a few k's further up on a bike with an orange shirt, so I stopped him and asked if he knew anything about my car, only then he admited it was him.

So, yes, it may take a while for him to heal, but my sympathy for him is a lot less, seeing he did not have the decency to come and tell me that he had crashed into my car.

Hang on ... he hit the left of the tree (from what I can see) then bounced all the way around it to go into the left of your car? Impressive. But those skid marks seem to indicate a lekker bolamakisie.

He must have been going pretty fast to do that to the tree. Was he a cyclist or a commuter?

What's in the bag?

True, I was immediately worried that I killed the guy, expecting a body and blood on the road, instead, nothing.

Oh, and It really was his fault, driving over a red light on a major intersection.....

Karma, how do you get your quote reply post to come up before Gummibear's original post? Can karma be that powerful that it sees so far ahead?

It seems like the tree jumped into the rider road at the exact moment the cyclist came passed.

It has happened to many MTBers as well.

back in 2009, a cyclist hist me from the side and caused R23 00 damage.

his head dented the top arch of the side. he flew over the car, got up and started cycling again...

oh, did i mention it was "Mr" on his reverse-pedal-to-brake Black "single speed", rigid fork?

"MR", you mean Mnr Swart? lol agree the cars today are so soft, I fell over while trying to control my dog at the training academy against a Getz, the door dented and then popped back

I can't really say. He did have a orange cycling top on, so I don't know if he was commuting in that or doing a training ride. He had an oldish, cheap type of bike, but I didn't pay much attention to it. The bag is my gym bag.

I've since been for two quotes and neither panel beaters would believe me that it was a cyclist. Turn out that there is a dent behind the bumper in the body panel too.
