GrumpyOldGuy Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Ah, I Amazon all the time, as far as customer service go's they cant be beat in my opinion, I buy lots of books for my kindle and sometimes I download a book by mistake, I just send Amazon an e-mail and within 30 minutes I get a reply that the funds wil be returned - never a question, never a query, never want to know why or what or wherefore, just "sure we will return your funds". Love them, in my opinion they are one of the best companies in the world, and I mean world.!

baie-sukkel Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 My wifes Kindle started to fade in the corners of the screen,got online support,the guy on the otherside ask a few technical questions to see whether there is something he can assist with remotely,then said'there a problem with the unit'we will replace it.....5 days later UPS delivered to her work with a return couoon for UPS to collect the old unit ...... I recon it's the best after sales service I have ever seen. 11 out of 10 for Amazon !

Emailed them after a week or two and they said it probably got lost somwhere. Sent another copy which I received on time. A week later the original one came through as well. Emailed them and they said I must just keep both copies. Also bought a Kindle from them a while ago, sadly I gave it to my mom (she was ill for a while and had to stay in bed) and have no chance of getting it back.

Actually I had a similar situation, I bought one of the first Kindles and it cracked diagonally along the case from the screen corner to the edge, it didnt actually cause any issues but I called customer service and the guy said it was a problem on some of the first batches, it usually didnt cause any problems but they would collect the unit and replace immediately. Which they did and the new one is fine, no cracks or issues. This is a company who stands behind their product.

My son broke his screen. As a registered kindle user, they not only sold me the 139$ option for 65$ as a replacement, they also waived the 30$ shipping AND sent me a prepaid return label so I could ship the old one back. UPS picked it up from my office for free.Ordered the Thursday, arrived the next Monday morning. Total cost for 1 x new kindle keyboard - R618.00 There is, in my opinion no better service.

Fork-it Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Which Kindles are you guys using? I recently got a Kindle for my birthday (not the touch) and also received the leather cover for it - unfortunately due to broken communication, the cover is for the Touch.
