Have been wondering about this. When using 650b wheels on a 26er frame, what are the effects on the frame angles and associated stresses (if any) etc?

Dunno if this has been asked before...

According to the guys at Morewood you raise your bikes COG with 150mm. That's a big enough change for me to stay away till purpose build bikes start rolling end of the year. And even then it'll probably be best to wait a year or two for designers to fine tune geo's.

I rode the tru cape on he weekend for the first time with my 650b on a 26 inch frame. It is not as nible in the tight stuff and takes getting used to, but on the longer open areas its much better than the 26 inch wheel you can feel the difference. So what I'm going to do is keep my 26 inch wheels and use them on the more technical races and then use the 650b on the more open marathon races like the Karoo to Coast and I will be using them on the Sani2C next week.

150 mm? I think you mean 15 mm! To raise the cg 150 mm you would need 38 inch wheels!

If that was said in cartman voice, its hillarious!!!

Both are very good, the ZTR's are lighter and more expensive though. The AC's have a 20mm through axle on the front

My ZTR 650b rims weigh 355g a piece. Wasn't expecting them to be that light. Bough 2 pairs of wheels and 4 sets of tyres for safety sake
