I am doing the Sani Adventure and paid for both the Cyclelab transport and service packages. The service package is advertised as a wash/service "each day" and the transport package requires the bike to be clean before boxing for the trip home. Safe to assume then that you can just give them the bike at the finish in Scottburgh and they will wash it and box it right? Wrong. They tell me that they don't have a service area in Scottburgh and I will have to wash the bike before they transport it. I looked at the advert/contract and there is no mention of this. I have told them this is unacceptable and that they should have someone washing bikes at the finish , particularly for those with both packages. If there are others out there in the same situation I suggest you voice your opinion.

Cant remember who but they washed all the bikes at the end of the day for R50. Farmer glen was not happy with this and they had to donate all that money to charity. (it may have been cycle lab)

last year some schoolkids washed bikes on the tenniscourts of the school. not sure about charge?

they should have stipulated that the bikewash for the last day is not included.

There was a bike wash on the tennis courts last year.

School boys are on stand by, but I did it myself @ no charge.

And then I boxed my bike for Cyclelab to bring home for me.

They had a guy who was sort of helping out.

I can only comment from CPT MTB stage races that they do not have bike washes on last day, Epic and W2W ride does not have or what I have noticed.

There was a bike washing station at the end of the Epic, remember seeing it at one of the road crossings to the parking area.

Then it should not state "each day"

Epic definitely had a bike wash on the last day. The only difference being you had to take your bike to the Pragma guys, they did not fetch it on the finish line.

It's not so much about whether I can wash my bike or how much hassle it is, I've always done it myself before. But I took a decision to go the comfy route, at significant cost and on the day when I will feel like it least, I have to sukkel with my bike.

mmmm must be honest...after reading the ad, I also get the impression that the bike will be washed after the last day especially since they are charging 950 zars for the package. They don't say they will wash the bike, but they also don't they won't...grey grey grey.

Also considering you are using the transport service....eish
