TwiggzSA Posted May 28, 2012 Share According to this, 20" should be the minimum you should consider: http://www.ebicycles.com/bicycle-tools/frame-sizer/mountain-bike/size-sheet?utf8=%E2%9C%93&u=cm&r=man&h=1920.0&i=900.0&b=Calculate

TheV Posted May 28, 2012 Share You need an XL, in every respected brand/model range, you will need an XL.
W3RN3R Posted May 28, 2012 Share Not sure how accurate the calculations are. However, according to the web page all my frames are too small.

greenbean Posted May 28, 2012 Share Tks for all the advice. It sounds like I should be looking for a 20.5" bike !! The bike on offer is a 19.5 " - is this ok ??? Can one compensate enough with increased stem length and greater seat post length ?Or is that foolish and should I rather wait for a 20.5" / 21" ?? Tks guys
jannosmit Posted May 28, 2012 Share The seattube length of the frame must also be long enough, you don't want to crack your frame were the seatpost stops in the seattube because its to short. Or just make sure the seatpost is long enough.
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted May 28, 2012 Share No. Wait for the bigger bike. Just increasing the stem length will greatly affect handling, with you placing more weight over.the bars and thus sacrificing optimum fit and comfort. Rather go larger and reduce stem length if anything. jannosmit
