swiss, you and scotty (and others to a lesser degree) have always been the most pro lance hubbers (Go Lance!) for YEARS

now that the **** has hit the fan, its barely a week since USADA released their reasoned decision, and now everyone is "over it" and "tired of hearing about it"

If thats the case, then dont bother reading or contributing to the thread. There are others who find this fascinating and are not "over it"

The Dutch papers are full of the Verbruggen story. Apparently he said that there is no proof and they ran the story and now he is denying it. He is painting himself into a corner.

Breaking news: UCI has opened a biopassport case against Carlos Barredo

sounds like they're suddenly trying to look effective. Since bio passport inception, have they opened cases against anyone?

and why was USADA able to see clear irregularities in armstrongs blood in 2009/2010, but UCI, with their biopassport couldnt?

clowns....

The cycling news article paints it differently. They already ran teh story and then asked him for comment afterward.

While asking him for comment he mentioned that there is no proof but since the article already painted the USADA allegations as prrof the journo said its a pity the story ran already and thanked him.

Its plain to see why sponsors wanted to opt out quickly. Its a royal mess and they prefer to stand on the sidelines while Bruyneel and the doctors fight it out.

This is better than this years Tour!!

From David Walsh:

Hein Verbruggen now says he didn't say what Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf quoted him as saying, i.e. that there was no evidence against LA.

Verbruggen original comment was delivered in an SMS exchange with journalist Hans Ruggenberg, which the newspaper is still in possession of.

In the text Hein wrote:"The only thing I can say is there are many many stories and suspicions but there is no trace of EVIDENCE." His caps.
