Not really,

Why did Frank only fess up to doping once his time was done, why did he even dope in the 1st place. When did Betsy know her husband was a doper, surely as he has claimed he doped for lengthy time she should have known and why then did she keep quiet.

true, but they still said something when everyone else was tjoepstil. Hardly anyone else was prepared to speak out before or after retirement.

put "lance" into the search bar and pick 'titles only'.

you get a lot of hits on Lance xxxx (drugs/cheat/hero)

and

power baLANCE is a xxxx(scam/crock of **** etc. etc,)

and some real gems...like this collection of his quotes(i took the good ones here)

33 “His accusations aren’t good for cycling, for his team, for me, for anybody. If he thinks cycling works like that, he’s wrong and he would be better off going home.”

Responding to Christophe Bassons’ criticism of the doping culture in cycling during the 2000 Tour

31 “This is my body, and I can do whatever I want to it. I can push it, study it, tweak it; listen to it. Everybody wants to know what I am on. What am I on? I am on my bike busting my ass six hours a day. What are you on?”

Nike commercial, 2001

16 “What he did in 1989 and 1990 was phenomenal. But Greg’s not even worth talking about today. And I don’t need to hear from him – he’d only shove his foot farther down his mouth.”

On Greg LeMond, Playboy, June 2005

13 “Finally, the last thing I’ll say to the people who don’t believe in cycling, the cynics and the skeptics: I'm sorry for you. I’m sorry that you can’t dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles. But this is one hell of a race. This is a great sporting event and you should stand around and believe it. You should believe in these athletes, and you should believe in these people. I'll be a fan of the Tour de France for as long as I live. And there are no secrets — this is a hard sporting event and hard work wins it. So Vive le Tour forever!”

On the Champs Elysées podium in 2005 having wrapped up a seventh Tour win and confirmed his retirement

11 “If you consider my situation: a guy who comes back from arguably, you know, a death sentence, why would I then enter into a sport and dope myself up and risk my life again? That's crazy. I would never do that. No. No way.”

Responding to L’Equipe’s accusations that he used EPO during the 1999 Tour on the Larry King Show in August 2005

8 “I’m here to fight this disease. You are not worth the chair that you’re sitting on with a statement like that with a disease that touches everybody around the world.”

Blasting Paul Kimmage at a press conference at the Tour of California in 2009 after The Sunday Times reporter had called Armstrong “the cancer in this sport” during a radio interview

5 “It’s our word against his word. I like our word. We like our credibility. Floyd lost his credibility a long time ago.”

In May 2010, responding to Landis’s accusations of systematic doping at the US Postal team

Hi Fitzy

I am not the one tweeting that people need to now tell the hubbers "I told you so"

No issue on my side except that if you want to really want to tell people something, then do it.

Sorry ,quick edit.

Just read you sub-vet comment.

I was not even aware of the fact that you (possibly old Colonel) or your buddy (old Colonel) raced in the sub-vet category.

I do mountainbiking, not road racing, I live in Jo'Burg, not anywhere else in S.A.

My comments was regarding the guys I have seen racing around me over the years.

Anyone can tweet anything they like or, like here on the hub you try dictate what is or isnt to be said? You also dodged the question as to why stated that he is a doper, it is clear as daylight in the post you made and also to references to him in previous posts here on the hub. So taking your own advice here as you mentioned above here "if you really want to tell people something then do it" So why dont you tell him to his face he is doper and not go behind his back here and say it in your underlining message and not regarding guys you have raced. Any fool can read what you have said.

I hope this comment comes back to bite you hard and many of the other SV/Vet riders you falsely accuse. Karma comes around, this thread is all about it.

Cool divergent views here - from Scotty to Eldron...

Good reading.

Fitzy, show me irrevocable proof that I spoke about you or your tjom.

Other than that, all you are doing here is trying to pick a fight.

I have no idea what kernel does on his bike, I just saw some people re-tweeting him and recall how vehemently he tried to call everyone who didn't appreciate his standpoint a fool.

Nice to sit behind a pseudonym and skiet your bek.

Better be careful what you are trying to accuse me of doing my friend, you are a little to a long way off the mark.

You are the only fool who made the stupid link, as far as I am concerned kernel doesn't even have a bike, I have never met him, neither have I any idea of what he does for a living.

I have just one question "did something important happen in 2006?", because everybody(the witnesses) claims to have doped up until 2006 and have raced "clean" ever since

Just asking

Wasn't there a retirement in 2005?

Looks to me like you made an assumption and you are now not quite sure how to argue your way out.

Come on Colonel, man up my boy, are you back on the Hub ?

Does LA suck or not? Seriously, you want the whole issue boiled down to a 2 option, multi-choice question.

He was the best at what he did at the time he did it - cycling, and with what we are hearing now, doping too. I'm not sure "suck" or "doesn't suck" really has any relevance.

Was just curious as you applied the term to his team mates.

Let's asses the situation.

1.Bring me irrevocable proof, failing that you are running with a massive assumption.

2.12 Posts and you talk of me hiding behind a keyboard, most people here know who I really am.

3.Just last night we were talking about the vets and sub-vets doping, I am sure if I dropped the name "Colonel" everyone around the discussion would have looked at me like I was nuts.

I am in Gauteng boetie, I don't have a cooking clue what the rest of the countries' riders are doing on their bikes.

Not sure who the small man really is in this funnily little fiasco.
