SeaBee Posted June 28, 2012 Share Okay, real noob question for a change. Recently tubeless converted - now I've gone and sprayed some sealant - but it did it's work in the end... Now what?! To expand on that, tubulars are thought to gain an advantage by allowing you to inflate the tyre to very high psi as the enclosed tyre and tube is glued to the rim. This then reduces the rolling resistance of the wheel. They are used by most triathletes and serious league road racers. The major drawback is if you get a flat with these. It's not a simple remove the tyre from the rim and put in a new tube process that you can do on a clincher rim. Back in the day we used to carry a pre glued tubby folded up ..... was a mission to remove the old and also once the new one was on you had to corner with great care ....
