G-Unit Posted June 27, 2012 Share As a noob would it be better to go 26 or 29er? Full sus or HT? 3x9, or 3x10, or 2x10, 1x9, or 1x10, or 1x1. Would a power balance bangle make me faster? Does it matter if i wear it on the left of the right wrist, or in my pocket? Is the force field enhanced by livestrong bands? What is potential interference of lycra or baggies? Should i shave my legs for speed or would the hair in fact decrease turbulance and make me faster?26,HT,3x10,no,no,no,you'll hit your balls on the top tube if you wear baggies,no. It's a pleasure. HandH Posted June 27, 2012 Share My rear hub doesn't make that clickety rrrrrrrrrrrrrr noisewhen freewheeling going downhill. I was wondering ifit would be wrong to put a playing card in my spokes tosimulate that noise? I do realise that it would then make a noisethe whole time but I'm trying to come up with an idea wherea remote lockout lever could could engage & disengace the clothespeg holding the card in place. Grebel Posted June 27, 2012 Share My rear hub doesn't make that clickety rrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise You should have spent a bit more on that bike chum...when freewheeling going downhill. I do realise that it would then make a noisethe whole time but I'm trying to come up with an idea wherea remote lockout lever could could engage & disengace the clothespeg holding the card in place. Mike Bike Posted June 27, 2012 Share Pro roadies have better bike skills than most elite mtbers. thats a very dangerous statement to make. roadies pedal in straight lines with no obstacles... mmmm
Smolly Posted June 27, 2012 Share thats a very dangerous statement to make. roadies pedal in straight lines with no obstacles... mmmmMike the reason why it is perceived that roadies have better is skills is that they make sure they never fall off so they don't dirty their white lycra

Only joking. It is perceived that the more noise your freewheel hub makes, the more expensive it is.... I'll admit, it it irritates me when they make that much noise... Quiet is good. As long as it engages when you pedal and doesn't slip, it's fine! HandH
