We moved to a new city this week. As my wife is away in Cape Town I have been unpacking without supervision ( interference). This afternoon I sorted out our cycling collection. Apart from the 7 bikes we have 8 pairs of cycling shoes, 7 helmets, 5 camelbaks and 3 Thule bike carriers. And we gave 3 bikes away before the move.luckily my wife cycles so I don't have spend my life justifying what I spend

Ridiculous really. I have one bike, one helmet, one pair of shoes, one bike rack, two pairs of cycling kit. Anything more is silly. Surely? Sell the extras or even better give them away to development teams as money is obviously not an issue.

We have a similar collection to this but plus a whole lot more in our bikeroom/workshop. I mean, there is a 50 litre box devoted only to elbow and knee pads. A whole cupboard full of bike lights. A whole chest of drawers contains bike spares and accessories. Bear in mind a year ago we gave a whole lot to cycling development...

In the past three years we have given 8 bikes to various development programs. When we buy another bike we normally give one away.

Hopefully you gave away the outdated 26ers when you "upgraded" to 29ers. Probably best, because you couldn't sell them now, for love ???? or munny????

2 x road bikes

2 x mtb bikes

2 x ss bikes

1 x shared santa cruz tallboy

We ride the size frame so swopping bikes is easy apart from saddles and brake orientation

I FLY I know how you fell.

2*Rd

6*Mtb (various 26ers, 29ers and a ss.)

Running out of space for all our stuff...but would not change it for the world.

I think each bike is a different story of past Epics etc.

I took a transfer to one of our divisions based in Witbank. We have made contact with some local riders and will start riding with them this week. We are 170kms closer to Sabie, Mankele, Swaziland and other good riding places. Wife gets to work from home and my commuting time reduces from 4 hours a day to 20 minutes. Much more time to ride our bikes
