Magura's Wireless Electronic Dropper Post - Eurobike 2015

If you have more than one bike with the same seatpost diameter, this will allow you to switch it to another bike fairly quickly and painlessly, and back again.

Because lets face it, once you've ridden with a dropper, you cant ride anything else.

yeah it is. Exactly the same post, just different branding.

Yup! Race Face bought Easton Cycling the Fox bought them both out.

At least this post's lever is better the one on the DOSS. Hopefully it performs better too.

That's a very good point!

Possible to only need one post for your stable of bikes.

I have been using the Tmars dropper which I bought off eBay for R780. I have been using it since February. Nice to try if you want to see how they work, without breaking the bank. It is easy to service, has 90 and 45 mm of drop, which is plenty for me.

I think the dropper would be ideal for someone who lacks a bit of confidence on technical stuff, it is like a set of rear training wheels, eventually you wouldn't need it anymore.

BAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!

Sorry, that was just fantastically funny.

And just incorrect on so many levels. The large majority of those who have bought droppers would not give them up. Ever. They're just that amazing. Plus - trust me - 150mm drop is a hard thing to get over!

Mmmm ja, the training wheel analogy not the right one for this.

Sure dropper posts give you the confidence to right knarlier stuff. However this is because it gives you freedom to move around on the bike, it's not teaching you anything.

A fixed post restricts movement, and puts you in awkward positions on the bike, that feel unstable on steep descents or rocky drops etc.

Think more along the lines of computers, cell phones, PVR ... We didnt think we needed those things when they came out, but try living without them now.

Their saving grace? It can now be taken off and used as a self defence item

Seriously though. I hope their new direction (in this and pedals) ends up in goods that you can actually use for more than a day.

Glad I could amuse you.

I ride cross country races, so a dropper is not a must have. As I said, if you lack a little confidence, then it will conquer that.

I could not fit a 150 mm on my hard tail. it is medium. 90 mm goes all the way for me.

I will probably ride like this for ever, even on cross country races. Just makes the ride more fun.

They really do, don't they. Such a simple device, yet so game changing. Yes, you CAN manually drop your seat before a tech section, but this is just so much more efficient. And fun.

Another thing that people don't realize about this is on the non technical long descents, if you drop your seat you can go much faster, being more aero. I drop my seat every time I stop pedaling for a bit, like in Sani2C there are many non technical descents.

It is not just for the technical stuff.

Why are there so few droppers with setback? Was planning to get the new Giant one till I noticed 0 setback. Tall people problems :(.

I'm glad you like the dropper man. I've been meaning to give some feedback on mine since I'm also using the Tmars for a while now. But the 115mm version. I really love that thing. Its not like I never had a dropper before either. Had the giant dropper previously and I would recommend the mechanical route to anyone.
