Best MTB Shoe lace

Recommended Posts

My shoe laces often come undone when I'm riding. Should I start my knot by:

  • taking the right over and under then through?
  • taking the left under over though then over?
  • taking the right round the left, under though over and back?
  • or get velcro shoes

where does one get those? Do you think my LBS will have or do I have to order online?

...and how much do they weigh?

If these don't work then sew some velcro on ;)

I prefer the white carbon ones, they save weight, plus I look the part. Great for showing my friends how well I'm doing.

I find making a tree and then letting the bunny run around the tree and into the hole, works best.

I don't know any of the bunny knots :( ...only the snake ones. I think thats why my laces keep coming loose

Shoe laces are for noobs! You need buckles and velcro (like the pros).

If you cannot afford new tekkies, buy red shoelaces, everyone knows the what red does. ;)

only knot you should be making

how on earth do you get that to fasten your shoe?

Maybe I should just put my shoes in my pocket for a bit. It works when I want to knot up my headphones

I find that laces spoil the look of my mountain bike shoes. I usually wear booties so I don't get mud on them and then can show them off after the race.
