I have been logging into this forum via Twitter since the start. I am now wanting to use some applications on the new phone to log in (Tapatalk in particular) which do not seem to allow twitter sign ins, so I need to register.

I have tried registering for the forum using the same user name but obviously it tells me the username Clint_ZA is taken. The question is whether there is any way to create a direct log in using the same username? And whether this would still be able to link me to my existing profile at all?

The "simple" solution would obviously be to create a new username and log in using that but it is not the ideal solution as I still want to be me.

That might be against the forum rules to have two accounts. (I think...)

Maybe you could use Cli_t_ZA as a user name... :w00t:

On this forum I'd end up getting way too many PMs containing sordid offers if I did.... ;)

At least you still maintain a sense of humour

Hi Clint,

Just visit the "My Settings section from the drop down menu in the top right of the screen (click your username).

Under the Email and password section you have the option to set a local password. This password can be used to login via the mobile site or other applications while still maintaining the Twitter connect features.

Here's a direct link: https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=email

Let me know if you have trouble.

Regards,

Matt
