Hi guys and girls. I went for a disastrous ride on Tuesday morning. It started raining 20 min into my ride and I got soaked and I realised that my Magicshine lights are not waterproof......On my way home the little switch got into my spokes and got ripped off!

SO I have to questions. How on earth to I open the big lens cover to let the water evaporate? The small ones screwed off easily.

How can I reattach the 4 wires with the seemingly impregnable?

The light still works, but I can see how far it is from dying and only have one setting....buck hunting mode which taps the batteries fairly quick.

Why not PM the magic shine light guy?

Hey, you think I'm slow? Ok, dont answer that. Sent to Easybike (where i bought it) and Hannes Zietsman when I started the topic - no reply from Easybike. Hannes gave me his cell phone number so we can arrange to have it fixed when I am in stellenbosch again.

I am suprised they are not waterproof, is the whole range like this?

The cheapest ones are "splashproof" the more expensive ones are rated properly waterproof. Its clearly states on the box. That said i have cheaper and expensives ones, official magicshine and ripp offs and they have all outlasted water weather and rain, and one or two dips in rivers.
