Interesting article in which team sprint rider admits to crashing on purpose because he made a poor start and wanted to have another bite at the cherry. They went on to win the final after this action.

 

Amazing that the badminton players were expelled. They were losing matches in the early round robin stages to secure easier early matches in the knockout phase. No rule bars this action, but they were expelled because their actions were considered unsporting and against the spirit of the Olympics.

 

Unsurprising then that a british rider secures gold through unsporting (yet technically legal) actions and is allowed to continue.

I thought it was more horrific them keep calling us bloody Aussies.

That's DSTV's fault, not the Brits. DSTV have bought the cheap seats for their Olympic coverage. The BBC commentators in the rowing called it right.

Hang on, so it's DSTV's fault that a commentator is unable to separate between lanes 5 and 6?????? Yeah that makes sense
