A few new items being showcased on this as seen at ACF not so long ago.

The FUNN oversized 35 bar & stem

Sun Ringle Helix Wide AM TL ready rim & is eyeleted ;)

I would however only use this class 32mm RS fork for a sub 80kg AM rider.

For the more aggressive as well as heavier rider 34mm stanchion 130-140mm travel only for my AM customs.

MRP Stage, XFusion Trace29, PIKE - for 9r builds

MRP Stage, XFusion Sweep, Manitou Mattoc Pro & PIKE - for 650Bs

Nothing narrower than 750mm bars

and only 45 to 70mm max stems

32H DB14G Hoop & spoke config

Preferably brass nipples as apposed to alloy - depending on abuse and environment and if the rim has no eyelet protection.

28H wheel configs for the lighter rider only

None are built to be weight conscious - they are AM rides meant to be durable / practical

Dropper posts are essential

XFusion , FUNN , RS

Wheelsets - PYGA, Vittoria, Sun Ringle, FUNN, Hopefully Industry Nine soon;)

Saddles - FUNN Throne II & Adlib , Fizik AM class saddles

Grips - ODI , Red Monkey

Cockpit - ANSWER , ODI, FUNN

Preferred groupset or drivetrain - Shimano

Brakes - Shimano, Hayes, Formula

Tires - Veerubber, Spez, ONZA, Mavic, Conti, Mitchis, Vittoria

etc etc etc

You can get real thick Birzman protective strips. ;)

pse let me know if you find, would still like to put some on other places.

CWC is the RSA Importer / Distributor by the looks of it.

It is expensive , but thus far works very well.

Pity more isn't supplied in a pac.

Johnsons' Cycle Works in Edenvale sells clear, flexible tape by the running metre .... about 80 Rondts (bargain!) per running metre if memory serves, about 4cm wide .... the type they use in motor sports on cars and bikes.

It flexes when applied so you can get it to bend on frame curvatures, etc. and is very tough.

Best kept secret ... call the owner, Kim Johnson - great guy - 011 453 9586.

I personally dislike the Birzman strips as, when they get tatty and you need to remove them, they leave a horrible residue that only comes off with meths and muchos elbow grease.

What hubs are you using?

the Easton hubs don't handle 15mm front and 12mm Syntace in the rear.

I noticed tires on there that are not Kenda... I was wondering when that would happen.

LOL, you have a keen eye dude.

To all my AM friends out there - NEVER bother with the Kenda Honey Badger or Karma tires for Trail or AM use. The tread patterns have no value to us what so ever.  I'm sure they have their purpose but do not belong on a Trail , AM/Enduro bike.

My mainstay / workhorse hubs are always Sun Ringle Dirty Flea and Jumping Flea.

PYGA hubs will follow soon and be on the complete PYGA wheelsets.

I also do/offer custom Chris King builds

and the New Vittoria AM Daemion 650B & 9r wheelsets have been added to the mix.

FUNN also provides a complete std flange , 6Bolt , sealed bearing hub on par with Ringle / Hope etc

Hopefully Ind. Nine will be on offer too ;)

A wheelset option in all class groups, but all tough and reliable.

Looks like a nice spec, pretty complete!

Why 3x10 and 11-34 in the back?

No dropper?

What handlebar?

What's the intended use?

Thanks Doezel

Not sure if the 11-34 is still ok, I bought it when I first planned to have a 2x10 crankset.

I'll invest in a dropper later. I will probably do mainly trail. The handle bar is a Dirty30 2014

11-34 will be fine with a 3x crank.

If you move to 2x, I'd suggest a 11-36.
