RANDFONTEIN EPR ROAD CYCLE RACE 25 AUG

The 120km is loooong. Not that much climbing but a few false flats. Wind is also a factor in the last 30.

Allround its ok. Not a lot of people do it think last year there were like 300 that rode the 120.

I did it last year, it was a very lekka race  , but like Bassman said.. It's looong!

We had quite a bit of wind last year, so the last 20km were hard.

Also, its a smaller race, so if you're not in the front half of the race the last 20km you might fight the wind alone.

Last year was a bunch start in the open category, so be attentive in the beginning as the stronger rides will probably go out at quite a brisk pace and split things up a bit.

I remember that. In fact, I think it's been like that every year. The start is quite chaotic with no real starting groups. Just be aware of that.

Luckily the race is so small that it didn't really make any difference.

Did it last year & I found it to be a tough race.

It's got just over 900m of climbing.

Becareful of the rummble strips as you leave Tarlton. Plenty bottles fell at the Wilro this year.
