"Losers promise to try their best...but winners go home and **** the prom queen..."- Sean Connery in "The Rock" :whistling:

I think you better start looking up some prom queens before March 2013 (no not the type who hang out in Seapoint)

Even though I love the smell of carbon brake pads in the morning, I'm more scared of the Boyes downhill, and especially the last bit, than the few rollers going up the "climb".

Privately amused at the newbs on that site bemoaning the breaking with tradition et al, with the change back to the traditional route!

Had the same way back, after the DeTour became the Tour again.

Pop Quiz (no looking at official results) Name all the lady winners of the DeTour.

As much as i agree its not about the bike, a decent bike does help :)

i started Group T, the Argus was only my second or 3rd race ever, first one being the 94.7 in 2011, i have done a few seeding races including the POwerade Mountain to Mountain which was really tough considering i had 2 hours sleep before the race!

but yes i agree i might have to aim for about a 3:10, but my ultimate would be a sub 3 :) still some time to train, and the test run will be doing a sub 3 on the 94.7

You still have few races to get good seeding for the race next year. You should not rely on this years Argus to give you seeding. You can get better seeding doing races like Telkom satelite classic, OFM etc.

Wouldn't have thought a de-tour could unleash such a debate. Didnt even realize Boyes drive is such a steep climb (prolly cause my nose is mostly in my lap going up there)

I agree we had a big split in B group on that downhill, sub 3 shot to hell.

I can't even name the male winners!

THat's your clue :-)

The same lady won all 4, so has the honour that nobody else probably ever will win it...

Care to guess now?
