I have got new bars and had new ESI grips fitted, I am led to beleive that the installation process was correct. They are carbon bars with a glossy spray finish, the grips are still "throttle-ing" after 48 hours since installation.

Any ideas/advice?

Define installation process? Fitted esi grips on my glossy carbon bars one day prior to baviaans and had no problem! Used "windolene" to slip on grips

Won't work, you will need carbon assembly paste...

Or use some toothpaste with the granules in it.

Insert something flat on the end, lift slightly, spray sunlight liquid, rotate and push your flat object in a bit more, etc....

Question

I have the ESI grips, but the one's position is not right....long story, how do I get it off to re-install. These things don't move at all!!

Take a blunt wheel spoke and push it between the grip and bar . then spray some q20 in the gap . twist and roll the grip and spoke around the bar and repeat , it will then come loose .

remove the grip and wash i sunlight soap to remove any q20 . wash the bar and refit with water or hairspray then let is stand for a day in the sun or just leave it for 24 hours. .

Windowlene works perfectly for putting the grips on and taking them off on both carbon and ally bars meaning no need for oils and then having to wash the grips each time you take them off. Lie the bike on it's side, pry open a gap between grip and bar, drop/spray a little Windowlene in the gap, repeat in two other places around the grip, allow about 30 secs for it to penetrate and then twist off. The Windowlene dries very qucikly so you can be riding in no time.

Iron I never took you for a hairspray kinda guy?
