It is early days, and that is a big concern. Froome is strong enough to go with Contador, and so is Contador with Froome. It should be interesting and at the end of the day it will have been a well fought for race.

I like Froome and don't enjoy Contador but I don't think Froome is going to have the legs to pull this off, I just don't think he's fully recovered from the tour and Olympics, I'd be very impressed if he beat Contador in this tour.

where did you watched this? I see stage 4(is that todays stage) is on SS2 at 16:00 or 16:30

There is a highlights package on late at night.

Three weeks is a long time in racing.

Froome Dog's capacity to recover is gonna be tested, big time.

Quite right..

If Froom gets home in 1st, then I think we might be entering a new era... And I'll take my hat off to him. He is an easy guy to like although his GF Michelle got me a bit worked up during the tour with her tweets.

You guys musnt forget the Maestro that Contador is..the guy is probably a little fresh him self but I just love how he gets to work.. Those little attacks on the other guys were probably a combination of testing the legs, testing the competitors and testing how the guys will feel the next day..

Dont for one moment think those were full on attacks on the first stage of the race.. He was attacking and prob looking back to see where froomdog was, then easing up.. testing the other guys at the same time..

Why I suspect those were half arsed attacks? because the littlebit of a team that he has will have to drive a peleton from the first day If he did get away and take the stage.. they will be spent in the last week and he really will be on his own then..

I say no chance he would play his cards after the first day.. he's just confusing them as they are all wondering what we are :)

I think she gets quite a few guys worked up :-)

Not 100% with you on the pelaton thing. This race is very different to le tour.More chance for a smaller team.

What I find interesting which I saw on tdf is it takes awhile for Froomie to get that big diesel of his going when there is an attack. He is certainly not explosive. He also takes little breaks now and again to recover then he comes again.Odd rider actually...

Ja I keep hearing that lately but he was pretty exlosive when he left Nibali, Wiggins and Evans (still fresh) at the top of the mountain top finish of stage 7 of this years tour.

Yeah what I meant was the stages are so diff to tdf that there is not that boring metronome protection on the front day in day out.I dont believe it would bother him if he won it then lost it.....only to win it back again

Nothing against Froome, fantastic rider.

IMO, Froome deserved to win TDF. He worked his balls off for Wiggo and probably could've taken him out on those climbs but unfortunately his from Kenya and not from Britain!

Contador the MOST EXCITING rider ever!!!

Wiggo might have the BEST team, BEST TACTICS but he sure is the MOST BORING rider!!

ESPANA!

Yeah indeed.

What makes him so exciting to me anyway is that there appears to be no middle ground with 'Berto, its all or nothing, so while the rest are planning their attacks carefully, 'Berto is busy flying up the mountain without so much as a care,......... if he wins great, if he blows and comes stone last, thats also fine, in his mind he tried,... and I think thats what sets him apart from many of his competitors.
