Will do in the am, photos on my phone. Think I might just melt the credit card some more wrt to the brakes. Get a nice set of xt's and ask for forgiveness later.

It's always easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission

First ride VG......... No pain no gain. Goodies I reckon will be here by wed latest. Just in customs, so best you find brakes fast. And Yes you lost serious points with the rear wheel on the wrong way even if it was just for a photo. I suggect on the first SS ride afterwards your going to be drinking some serious fines  the question is how many fines...... Rear wheel the wrong way is worse than a rookie mistake.

Ag tsek man.....

PS shot for the help with the build the other night...the headset is still a bit tight for my liking, sure it will be ok later.

Can't wait to see that white halflink on the crank....I have found an awesome way to determine your centres for the chain. Did my calc's last night and I need to have 17,5mm worth of space between cog and wheelnut to make it absolute dead centre

No need to do calcs to determin it, you just need to do it before you open the 6 pack of beers......... Lucky it does not take long to do so you can get to the beers quickly.

We will sort the headset etc out only once you have the wheels and brakes etc in place (and wheels the right way around)

And again...tseeeeek!

So how do you do it then....houtoog over the chainline? Suppose you can do it, but I like a bit of science in the bike build mix. Saw this method on mtbr. Measure distance from bottom bottle cage hole to over crank / where chain runs(in my case 50mm) ....then subtract that from 67.5(if you have a 130mm hub) = 17,5mm from the end nut spacing required. Boom straight

Haha can like to over complicate an SS. Haha. Chain will be nice and quite when it is running straight

I must drop that habit, when I am bored I do crap like this...you saw me yesterday with that tape on my freewheel haha....when the parts come from crc i will come knocking man. Only concern I have is that I got one of those 1/8 halflink chains, will this be fine for the 3/32 chain blade and rear cog or should I have gone for 8speed chain to keep em all in sync...size wise?
