Entered the 100km race. Will give it a miss this year due to bad weather!

Still raining here in PMB and soil is soaked!

So much for carbo-loading!

Weird how it is that I always assumed mountain bikers to be tough, go-anywhere anytime kinda adventurers...

Take it easy in the covered forest sections that haven't had chance to dry. Rode up at Karkloof and in Cascades in the week and it's real slippery. Glad to hear Worlds View has dried up a bit. Watch out for the section along the river, down to town (that replaced the old Roberts Road downhill) and the steps...

we ended up going down roberts road so the course was pretty much the same as two years ago. descent from hilton was a bit hairy at times and there were some really muddy patches...luckily the rain stayed away too.

one ride got hit by a car riding past the Arc. Car hit him from behind, bucked his rear wheel and he landed on the bonnet. The story goes that the Police stopped the car, Breathalised the driver (found to be 1.2) arrested him, impounded the car and left his 4 mates just standing there.
