I like that crank skin. Looks good and protects it from all kinds of scuffs. Those whose shoes literally wear away their cranks, should all use them.

But there is a case to be made for wear marks: they are like a patina, shows it been used.

Maybe, but when I see scuffed carbon cranks, I want to cry... Clear vinyl is not expensive.
