Woke up this morning to pouring rain in Durban. It's been raining on and off since yesterday... So Bleak! Not worth stuffing up the bike, risking injury and slogging through mud for 4 hours....

Or am I just wearing pink underwear?

Stuffing up the bike? Do you carry your bike whe it gets bumpy not to "stuff up the shocks" and do you cling wrap the frame because it might get dirty? Dude, go to the fridge and get a can of HTFU - that's what all he fun is about. Now leave me alone, let me turn around and re-adjust that down duvet.

Waaah, my logic tells me that the second half are more sandy soils which get wet and soft but aren't that muddy and slippery . Big pluses - no dust, no dehydration (yeah right!).

The first half is the despicable Midlands and Hilton slippery snot infested with horrible round boulders. Causes you to fall off then stays stuck on the bike wheels. You wuss, you.

Ahem, I'm not riding and bleddy glad too.

"Hill2Hill" and "45km" should never be used in the same sentence.

Probably a good thing you not riding then. You'll feel guilty wearing the T shirt after the... erm... 45km 2Hill...

So tomorrow, trade in the nighty for some kit, get on the bike and start training to ride the first 60km too next year. Despite the weather.

The SS would probably be the better option, maintenance wise... Not sure 'leg' wise!
