Definitely looks kicked in. If it was rider damage caused by a fall someone at the school will be walking with a limp and cuts and bruises.

If I got hold him I'd be tempted to add some more…

Thanks for all the feedback, guys.

My kid's trying to track down the culprit(s). His housemaster says he'll make them pay for the repairs.

unlikely to find the culprit/s, they're bound to all clamp up, protect each others asses..

Although looking at close circle of ppl that don't like his guts might yield probably candidates.

Looks like vandalism, if it's the Midlands school I went to, the bike shed was a very dodgy place indeed. Never got my bike out of there in the condition it went in. There was no checking to see if you took your own bike out and guys just didn't give a sh~t about other people's stuff.

I've had some serious "offs" on my bike and I've never managed to damage a spoke like that. No matter how hard I try. Get the school to pay for the damage, Maybe they'll start managing the flow of bikes a little more effectively.

My son found his bike in a broken state in his dorm at school. He doesn't know if someone took it for a ride without his permission and crashed or whether it was just vandalised. Leaning towards the latter. He sent this pic. It's not great.

The one person who may be able to get some results of Conor's mate, Oscar, whose bike was also broken. He's like 6'3"…and still in Grade 8…

I'm still going to point to something hard, brick, piece of timber, metal.

No way a show would do that, try and kick your spokes, they're hard.

If it was the Rear Derailer, damage to it would be obvious.

Looks like something was pushed into the spokes while the bike was being ridden. Was it only on the back wheel?
