Where did I say that I am law abiding.....? I will stop anywhere. I drive like a taxi.....

I'm not picking on you, but admitting to driving like a taxi is an offence in itself.

It is almost the equinox…

Ah, the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of equal length (about September 22 and March 20). Hey, that's tomorrow.

Awareness? Yea right....keep living in that bubble. Sout Africans dont learn and will never.

Those South Africans include cyclists... SO while you are hiding behind that idea, Charity starts at home... How do you expect motorists to respect you? Respect is earned... In single file.

You are the wally, it was 6am after all, the problem here is that you were actually jealous and wished that you were riding as well??

Why do roadies get angry at one when they take over the road and one hoots at them to move asside, if the speed limit states 60km/h and the roadie doing 25-35km/h, the rules state keep left and pass right, so why do you not keep as far left as possible so the cars can pass you without making a newsence of yourselves.

Would say this would only be a considerate thing to do but then again there are not many considerate wanna be Pro Roadies.......

Rooiwillie, he knows the cyclists are wrong, but the OP is wrong enough that cyclist safety becomes a side issue.

I saw another cyclist ride through a red robot yesterday.. the driver who almost hit him slide in a cloud of blue smoke to avoid him, looked shaken! Did I say anything here? Why bother when I might have been accused of rubber necking..

What worries me most is that we are nearly back in that phase of the vicious 'ub circle where we have to have a Shimano vs Campag thread .... :whistling:

I saw 2 MTBers on a "walkers only" path on Signal Hill. They deliberately avoided the no bikes sign. They flagrantly threw the law back in the faces of those who wrote them. They're worse then Bergies. I'll put logs in the way. I'll wait with a pellet gun. I'll strew the path with tacks. I'll write to the Southern Suburbs Tatler. I'll phone Cape Talk. I'll betoog and toyi-toyi outside Sanparks.

Everyone gives everyone a bad name. (I just do it more often than most.)

Yes and your point?

I don't see anyone moaning at taxis.

And through the very clear display of the op being at fault, we may just stop complaining about cyclist too. Well done, a pat on the back.
