Nope, because we have been cycling long enough to know our bodies and what it takes to loose weight. And it BESLIS does not involve exercising less.

The heading is a bit deceiving.

A family member joined the Navy a couple of years ago. During the first couple of months of basics she lost almost 30cm around her waist but only 3kg, because she gained more mucle. People should rather make fat loss their goal and not weight loss. The bathroom scale is not the killer.

Have you ever seen a fat or overweight person in those concentration camps ?

You wanna loose weight = eat less ! And yes if you want to perform in sports = train more. You will loose fat but gain muscle. so = not much weight loss !

None of you 2 have actually read any of the research out there , never mind the articles, have you ???

Not speaking for the 2, but ja i didnt read it YET but have been witness to my own long term study experience and can confirm:

 

Exercise => increased appetite and depending on exercise type weight loss / gain

 

Exercise less => said appetite does not diminish significantly enough = weight gain

 

Loss of weight gained => requires increase in exercise (over and above minimum of 30 min /day)

 

= Viscous circle

I agree, it should have read, Lose Fat, not weight, but it was asumed that it was what most people wants to lose anyway.

I have been training pretty hard since June and lost 16kg so far.If i exercise less i will put i back on.

 

I have also been doing heavy weights to get some muscle and on the scale i am not going down but measurements are.

Exercise does help me to lose weight, but it also makes me hungrier... so just have to be good and not eat everything in sight.

 

That is the point, most people don't have the discipline, and eat to much after exercise. They also become less active during the day after those exercises.

+1 Concentrate on eating the right food to fuel your exercise regime and at the same time weight loss. As your body fat decreases and muscle mass increases you will see different things on the scale that wont necessarily make you happy.
