Mankele 3 Towers

This a real key part of the battleplan.... :whistling: you know for the flat parts we did there

Key part for me was injuring myself 2 weeks ago at Breedts, then not coming near the bike until day 1 at 3 T.

legs felt fresh for 9km to be exact

Nope, was Day3, up the climb in the shade where i was taking pics of the awesome view, same place i got the pic of you.

Weapon of choice noted and i expect to see this fulfilled, or maybe ride in a COW suit, that'll warm things up a bit

I'll sport a DH helmet as well, what else?

ok now jokes aside - and it was quite astonishing, but I realised (like Mr ST told me) the truth behind mind over matter.

When you really want something, it will happen, no matter the pain or suffering. Failure wasn't an option, I had to finish this, I had to get my medal.

One line I kept saying over and over in my head pushed me through all three days.

Hey Guys,

What a total blast of a weekend!!! One of the best stage races in SA!

Loved every part of the routes. especially the single tracks and the bush tunnels.

We (Iron as partner for sure) will be back in force for next year!

We stopped at every water point and soaked up the atmosphere , ate like all the jelly babies ( sorry everyone but i have a weakness for them ) and trundled along again .Note to self : trying to climb with a Boostedgp who weighs less than my bike is , well HARD !
